News 12 New Jersey and the New York Red Bulls hosted a Weather Education Day at Red Bull Arena on Saturday, August 27th. The event featured interactive weather exhibits, educational activities, and a special appearance by News 12 meteorologist John Elliott.
Attendees had the opportunity to learn about different types of weather phenomena, including hurricanes, tornadoes, and thunderstorms. They also got to see how meteorologists track and forecast the weather using state-of-the-art technology.
"This was a great opportunity for families to learn about weather safety and preparedness," said John Elliott. "We're glad we could partner with the Red Bulls to host this event and help educate our community about the importance of weather awareness."
In addition to the educational exhibits, there were also plenty of fun activities for kids, including face painting, balloon animals, and a bounce house. Attendees also had the chance to win prizes from News 12 and the Red Bulls.
