Early Life and Education

Nancy Ruth Mace, born on December 4, 1977, in Fort Bragg, North Carolina, comes from a military family with deep ties to The Citadel Military College. Mace made history in 1999 by becoming the first female graduate of The Citadel, a historic achievement that paved the way for future generations.

Political Career

Mace entered the political arena in 2013 when she was elected to the South Carolina House of Representatives. She served in that capacity until 2017, when she was elected to the U.S. House of Representatives as the representative for South Carolina's 1st congressional district. Mace is the first Republican woman to hold this position.

Accomplishments and Awards

Throughout her career, Mace has garnered recognition for her conservative values and commitment to economic freedom. In 2021, she was awarded the Club for Growth Defender of Economic Freedom Award, honoring her unwavering support for principles of limited government and free-market capitalism.
